With a network of 90 National CU centres and a growing International network in South Australia, Singapore and Malaysia, we are working within local communities to encourage all children, but particularly those who need it most, to participate, voluntarily, in a variety of Learning Activities, delivered by our Learning Destination partners.
The Isle of Man’s Children’s University was set up in March 2012 under the Department of Education and Children and run by Carys Lloyd. The first children to graduate, did so in St German’s Cathedral in Peel on the 23rd April 2013. There were 47 children in our first graduation. We hope that this number will keep growing year on year.
Since 2016, Connect2Charity
has taken over Children’s University. It is being run on a voluntary basis. There are several local destinations where children can gain accreditation and we hope to increase this further. Accreditation can be collected worldwide and when enough hours have been earned, they can be used towards certification.
We would be pleased to discuss any sponsorship opportunities with would be sponsors.
